Designed for cell cultures
Prime is a microelectrode array integrating 4096 recording electrodes on a small and compact area of 2.67mm x 2.67mm, centred in a flat area of ~3mm x 3mm. This arrangement is ideal to reduce the number of seeded cells.
The electrode size is 21µm x 21µm, with a pitch of 42µm. The glass ring internal diameter is 25mm, with a height of 7mm.
More space to accommodate large tissues
Arena comprises the same recording array as the Prime model (4096 electrodes in a 2.67mm x 2.67mm area), but in addition it delivers a larger surrounding flat area (6mm x 6mm), which is very handy for positioning large tissues while guaranteeing an optimal coupling with the electrode array.

The MEA to electrically stimulate your sample
The Stimulo CMOS-MEA has a larger sensing area (5.12mm x 5.12mm), since it delivers an increased electrode pitch of 81µm. This allows recording from large portions of neuronal tissue, while still having a high spatial resolution.
Moreover, the Stimulo model offers a secondary array for stimulation with 16 electrodes, arranged in a 4 x 4 uniform grid, that are interspersed between the recording electrodes.
