Overview

The Heated Chamber Stage (HCS) from ALA is the ideal solution for maintaining physiological temperatures in 35mm Petri dishes or ALA’s imaging and recording chambers. The stage fits on top of most standard microscope stages including Zeiss, Nikon, Leica, and Olympus. The HCS can also be used on many widely used mounting platforms such as the Gibraltar, Scientifica’s stages, and Narishige ITS systems Microscope Stage Plate system. Perfusion, grounding, and other additional experimental tools can be easily mounted to stage via mounting holes or magnetically to steel plate. The HCS is compatible with ALA’s HCT temperature controller or npi electronic’s complete line of temperature controllers.

Details

The outside ring is made from magnetic steel so that magnetic tools (Magnetic Stage Tools) can be mounted. The ring also features 11 M-3 tapped holes so that extension plates (ALA-EXT) or other tools can be screwed down.
The inner ring features a central opening that accommodates 35mm Corning petri dishes and all ALA-MS chambers with a 19mm viewing port. Two 20 Ohm resistors wired in parallel power the heated ring which is comprised of anodized aluminum. A single 2252 ohm thermistor gives feedback on the temperature of the stage.
